7 Reasons for Attending a Christian High School

Trinity High School welcomes Cental Oregon students who desire small classes, dedicated teachers, an enriched curriculum that includes language, technology and art, participation in clubs and sports, and community leadership opportunities — all housed within an environment that embraces Christian values.

Trinity High School high students receive ACT, SAT, and college preparatory/admissions counsel and career counseling to ensure they receive the information they need to succeed in the years beyond high school! Principal Hanne Krause envisions 100% college placement for Trinity High School graduates wishing to attend college. According to Krause, “Instead of a curriculum that emphasizes minimum standards, we believe high school students deserve a maximum experience.”

After shadowing a Bend cancer doctor, THS student Abbey Carpenter has set her
sights on becoming a hematologist/oncologist.

“High school is a very different time than it was a generation ago. Public schools face tremendous challenges, core classes are overcrowded, and good students can get lost in the shuffle. THS offers students the opportunity to know their classmates, excel academically, give back to their community, and embrace an authentic high-school experience that supports Christian values,” says Principal Krause.

The value of being part of this community
Once a month, students spend a day in the field with local professionals and business leaders. The monthly internship gives students a rare and important insight into career paths that might interest them. Trinity students have shadowed physicians, dentists, news editors, interior designers, nurses, business owners, career military personnel, builders, veterinarians... to name a few.

Another day each month is earmarked for students to participate in community service activities. Students decide with their classmates which service opportunities to embrace. In the past, students have chosen to volunteer at nursing homes, organize food and clothing drives, assemble packages to send to our troops, collect trash left in our parks and roadsides, just to name a few.

Trinity High School students built a solar car to race in the 2009 Dell Winston Race, in Texas.

If the students envision it, it is likely to happen
Principal Hanne Krause believes THS students receive valuable self esteem from participating in local public service activities. “When young adults find creative ways to offer service to their communities, they are more likely to continue acts of community service throughout their lives.”

“With an inspired vision, anything can happen. Giving students the support they need to achieve their dreams is important in high school. If they can dream it, we will do what we can to help them achieve it.”
